How to Style a Maxi Dress in Winter
Sometimes it’s nice to shake up your outfit choices in Winter with something more fancy so I wanted to introduce this Dancing Leopard Dove Dress in Navy Star Print to you!
It’s so tempting to reach for my go-to skinny jeans and a chunky knit but occasionally it’s a good feeling to dress up in a long, swishy maxi dress!
This dress is by Dancing Leopard (available at Silk Fred) and is a style that can be worn in many different ways. I’ve chosen to style mine with tights, Marks & Spencer Ankle Boots and an Aviator Jacket from Primark! I still can’t believe this Jacket was just £30 as I’ve worn it so much already..
Here are some other ways you could style this Maxi Shirt Dress or something similar:
Fasten the collar to the top for a more tailored look.
Take off the belt that comes as part of the dress and switch this up with a belt from your own collection.
Team with pumps or trainers for a more casual look.
Layer a chunky knit over the top and team with some heeled boots so it looks like a maxi skirt for two outfits in one!
Team with statement earrings, killer heels and a clutch for evening. As this dress is star print it’s perfect for the festive season too.
As this dress buttons all the way down to the bottom, I’d also wear this open as a kimono/cover up - you could even wear it over swimwear so it’s great for holidays.
If it’s a super cold day, wear skinny jeans and a cami underneath and style it open as a long-line shirt.
I hope this post has inspired you to wear your maxi dresses in Winter and if you have any styling questions, feel free to leave a comment and I’ll get back to you as soon as I can!
